There are various types of lip products. Glosses, lipsticks, lip balms and lip stains. They’re very fun to use and can tie a look together, but after a long day you tend to wash off your makeup. Except for one thing, your lip product may be hard to remove or super easy to take off.
Stains are what they are named, they stain the lips and can usually stain the lips for 24 hours without having to reapply it throughout the day. But if you don’t need or want it for the amount the product says it lasts, that’s when you run into a problem. How do you remove the stain?
To remove can mean lots of rubbing with makeup remover or exfoliating. This can be left overnight and be gone the next day. Don’t fret over stains, stains usually are a slight pink shade or a nude tone.
Lip balms are used to moisturize dry or cracked lips. Some come with a bit of tint but it can easily be taken off after a long day. No problem with balms.
There are lip stains and lip balms combine such as Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms’ purpose is to keep your lips moisturized but at the same time give you a concealed tint.
Matte lipsticks are popular products because the purpose of a matte lipstick is that it will stay on through the day and not move when eating or drinking. But if you have the habit of licking your lips, eat food with your hands like a burger or not use a straw when drinking, the matte lipstick will move around. Once the matte lipsticks smudge around and outside your intended lip area, it’s hard to remove. If you try to remove with a makeup remover, chances are that it will leave a stain on your foundation.
All lip products are fun to wear but come with flaws. Find what best fits you and stick with it!
