Makeup Videos Are Great

Over time, it has become easier to learn how to apply makeup. Instead of paying to learn from a makeup artist, you can now learn from the comfort of your own home.

There is a wide spectrum as to what a makeup tutorial is. There are videos explaining the process, pictorials describing each step to achieve your desired look, and pamphlets that come with makeup products explaining how to apply.

Whatever the case may be, each of these tutorials are beneficial when deciding what look one wants to go for. Personally, I prefer the regular video tutorials because there is someone explaining each and every step while simultaneously providing visuals. One of the videos that I believe was well composed with key factors was a youtube video by Maria Bethany.

Her video is a popular “Running Late GRWM (Get Ready with Me)”, a video showing what her routine is. (watch) Most people nowadays are always running late whether trying to make it to work, school, or an appointment. Maria Bethany’s video showed how to do the bare minimum and still come out with a clean and simple look in a short amount of time.

She not only demonstrated how to do a subtle look, but she also added how to style your hair in a fast, efficient manner. The main reason these kinds of videos are helpful is because they constantly consist of step-by-step instructions, but also the ability to adjust the steps to your preference.

For example, in this video she doesn’t apply eyeshadow; however, if that is something you prefer, you can always do your favorite eyeshadow look. It may obviously take a bit more time, but relatively the same estimated time.

Although this kind of tutorial is one of my personal favorites, the pictorials and the pamphlets are also beneficial. For those who just prefer visuals, these kinds of tutorials are the ones they should look into.

Of course, any kind of tutorial comes with a list of pros and cons. For instance, a pamphlet can show an eyeshadow look, but the way it is explained, one may not have the same end result as the one in the picture. Either way, having an example in any of the forms previously listed, along with much more, are helpful when trying to figure out what is best suited for you.
