Winter Routine for Your Skin Type

Winter is here without a doubt, right? The weather is all over the place. Air dry and not in the best quality at the moment.

It’s affecting many, especially one’s skin. By only covering it with a mask, scarf, hoodie or sleeve it’s not doing much.

In windy areas, the air must be hitting your face constantly. The skin might feel drier than most times. Instead of the face feeling oily, it feels dry for once. It might feel like a good thing but it shouldn’t. Oily skin can then become dry and cracked with the cold air.

To help with that, applying moisturizer than feels lightweight should be a part of your routine, whether that consists of going bare faced or not. For oily skin, the Body Shop’s Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion is great for oily skin.

Having a set day and night routine can help to have a fresh look all day and at night, have a clean face. As well as micellar water, by using this it can help to clean away all the dirt, oil and makeup you have on your face throughout the day.

For combination skin, you will also need to keep moisturizing the areas your skin tends to be dry, with the winter weather, those areas tend to become more dry than usual. For your oily t-zone, you can grab an oil-free moisturizer to keep your face nice and smooth.

Sensitive skin will need extra care. Apply what works for your skin but with the cold weather, it helps to wash your face with lukewarm water to avoid any irritation.

Overall, skin types need a source of hydration. Drinking water, gentle cleansers and face washers can help during the winter season. Keep your skin moisturized if you want to survive the weather!
