Zulma Thinks: Makeup Revolution

A British brand that many American makeup artists and consumers are taking notice of. Is it good or does it not live up to its name?

Their website says they have over 28 years of experience in the cosmetics industry and create many cosmetics, skincare and haircare products. They are 100% cruelty-free and affordable, their audience is “everyone – no matter their sex, ethnicity, age, budget or location”.

They have four different brands: Revolution: Makeup Revolution London, Revolution Pro, I ♥ Revolution and ★ Obsession: Makeup Beauty London. They have super affordable products, concealers retailing for $7.00 and foundations for $12.00. Compared to products sold in Sephora and other high brands, Makeup Revolution is super cheap. You can get two to three products of their for the price of an expensive product from Sephora.

Their foundations come in stick and liquid with 18 different shades. With all the controversies surrounding well-known makeup brands coming out with 20 shades and only 5 of those almost never matching dark skin tones, Makeup Revolution is one of the few brands that do think of their consumers.

As for concealer, they have over 18 different shades. It is full coverage, you can use it alone or with foundation. They not only conceal but you can also use a shade or two darker to contour!

Other than their foundation, they also have baking powder that retail for $8.00 for those who love to bake and set their face. Their banana powder, lace powder and ghost powder for individual needs and tones.

One of my personal favorites are their highlighters and setting spray. Their Vivid Baked Highlighters glide on smoothly and don’t need to be applied with a wet brush unless you want a super bright highlight. Retail for $6.00 at Ulta, they also have a matte shade as well as a fun pink shade.

Having oily skin or wanting to feel as if my makeup will stay secured, their setting sprays are also helpful. When you feel a bit sweaty or if you live in a hot area, their Sport Fix Fixing Spray should be your go-to! Their Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray is an affordable dupe to the MAC Fix+ that retails for $26.00 while the Pro Fix retails for $8.00.

To buy their products, it is only available in Ulta stores in the USA.
